The Rockstar Collective: Meet Oliver Howells
Oliver Howells is a modern-day creative product photographer with a focus on delivering hacks & tips to his fans on how to create stunning photographs.
Oliver is a member of the Rockstar Collective and over the past few months has created several striking images using techniques such as slo-mo, plunge pools & light painting to showcase our Rockstar cans in all their glory.
With his work inspiring millions of people worldwide to show off their own creativity, we hooked up with Oliver to learn more about how he Fuel’s his passion for photography, what inspires him to succeed and his top tips on how to smash your day.

Innovative, motivated and independent
What are your passions?
My passions in life are to succeed to the best of my ability in the things that I love doing. That’s why I’m passionate about being creative, because I can express photography in the way I want and share it with others who love the same things.
What inspires you / When are you most inspired?
I’m truly inspired when I see something that connects with me and my creativity. I believe it’s important to let inspiration come to you naturally and not force yourself to be inspired. I’m most inspired when I see something that really stands out to me, it could be a new experience, a scenery or another person’s artwork.
What does a typical day look like for you? And how do you fit everything into your day, ensuring you have energy/time for the things you love to do?
In my opinion organisation is always key. The better I plan and prepare, the easier it is to achieve as much as I can in my day. I always start with a morning coffee to kick start my work. It’s not always easy to fit everything in one day but I know it’s best to keep noting down any thoughts I have in my head so you can clearly see what I have left do and then tick each one off like a checklist. To ensure that I keep up my energy high for the next project It’s always sensible to stay well rested, and know when to stop the day because tomorrow will always bring new exciting opportunities.
What is your favourite time of day?
My favourite time of day is the evening when I can sit back, relax and enjoy other activities that I want to do such as gaming, sports and spend time with my family.
What would you love to do if you had even more energy / time to do so?
I’d love to maximise my business and make it the best place for photography content. I’d probably focus more on my YouTube channel where I can create longer tutorials for people to watch, and creating more entertaining content with other creatives I know.
Do you have any top tips to share for how to smash your day?
My top tip is to do what you can at your own pace. If people know you’re talented at what you do, then they will respect the time it takes for you to be creative. Once you find a balance with your work you’ll be smashing out content at a much more consistent rate! Keep experimenting and never lose the passion for what you love most, because the best pieces of work come to you with patience and practice.
